Re:Gen Fourth Edition

Ichthus 2009

Want to be part of a big adventure. Ichthus is an exciting holiday experience that challenges young people to step outside their comfort zones through adventure activities like rock climbing, canoeing and camping out.

All of this takes place in a safe Christian community that encourages participants to reach their full potential by raising self awareness and self esteem, and encouraging positive self growth.

Ichthus is a week long camp for young people with an emphasis on adventure. Adventure is a vital ingredient to Ichthus because it challenges young people to step out and do things beyond their everyday experiences (high ropes, low ropes, camp out etc.).

This has a powerful way of revealing to them the depth of their own talents, abilities and character and leads to increased self awareness and self esteem. Adventure challenges people to reach their full potential.

In addition to this, and very importantly, the camp provides a safe and encouraging environment for young people to discover more about who God is and what that means to their lives.

Both of these things happen over a week long experience in a community which is encouraging and accepting and most of all fun.

Four ViewS of Youth Ministry and the Church by Senter, Black, Clark and Nel.
