Want to go on a journey with God? Want to go deeper? Emmaus is an opportunity for young people to discover and encounter, or deepen their personal relationship with God.
EMMAUS is an opportunity for young people to develop their life of faith in Christ. Emmaus acknowledges that our life is a journey and that Jesus will walk with us; just as he did with the two disciples on the road to Emmaus after Easter (Luke 24).
The first part of experiencing Emmaus is to attend an Emmaus weekend, where young people will be sharing parts of their journey in Christ as well as having times of worship and fun. This year the weekend is from the Fri 31st July – Sunday 2nd August at Burleigh on the beautiful Gold Coast.
The second part of Emmaus is for your youth group to follow up with regular meetings to continue your spiritual journey with the support of your parish group.
Emmaus is a powerful means of developing the lives of young people in your parish. Follow-up groups don’t just affect the young people involved within them, but also affect the faith communities to which they belong.
Experience Emmaus and share the journey:
