Spiritual Direction Training Program

Spiritual Direction: a ministry of the Church, to the Church and beyond

The training program offered by the Anglican Diocese of Brisbane seeks to nurture and refine the gifts God gives for this ministry and draws on both the wisdom of the tradition of spiritual direction as well as the lived experience of participants.

The program is available for those who are ordained, members of religious communities and lay people alike and is ecumenical in its embrace.

Is this for you?

Do you have

• A mature and committed Christian faith
• A love of and commitment to prayer
• A sense of call to the ministry of spiritual direction
• Sufficient life experience to enable you to respond with wisdom to a wide range of people
• A capacity to listen empathetically and enter sensitively into spiritual conversation
• An openness to learning - from your own and others’ experience, from scripture and tradition,study, reflection, written and group work
• A commitment to your own personal and spiritual growth.
