Am I called?
How do I go about enquiring about ordination?
Enquiry begins in your local faith community, not with the College. When people sense a possible call to ordained ministry or a professional lay ministry and are willing to test that perception in the company of other Christians, there is a need for both celebration and discernment.
Within the Diocese of Brisbane, this need for affirmation, celebration and discernment is pursued over a period of one year.
The first steps in the enquiry process are discussion with your own parish clergy and early contact with the Director of Ministry Development & Discernment, The Rev'd John Milburn ddd@anglicanbrisbane.org.au
What if I am selected for ordained ministry?
The College offers programs of ministerial formation for ordination candidates, tailored to meet the needs of those who are to serve as priests and deacons. Ordination candidates may be described as being engaged in Diaconal Formation or Priestly Formation and some tailoring to these specific ministries occurs in the program.
